Thank you to all of our stars for joining us for the fourth annual Manchester Midnight Walk this Friday!
It's been an action packed build up with celebrities including Tess Daly, Alesha Dixon and Alexandra Burke each designing a one off pair of Star Shoes for the walk, a 10 year old girl, too young to take part, organising her own walk to raise funds and a team of solicitors from Addleshaw Goddard being put through their paces by British Military Fitness in preparation.
All activity has been leading up to Friday, when over 3,000 walkers will set off on the stroke of midnight from Manchester Central in a fun-filled night to remember in support of St Ann's Hospice.
At the heart of the walk is the Wall of Hope for those walkers who choose to leave a special message in memory of a loved one, which will then be displayed on a big screen on the night. Walkers will also have the chance to light a candle for a loved one in the special Remembrance Garden at Spinningfields.
Doors will open at 9.30pm and the night will kick off in style in Manchester Central at 10pm with entertainment from local music group Mike Tongue and the Grooves and England's winning tenor and patron of St Ann's Martin Toal, who will be singing a stirring rendition of Nessun Dorma alongside some other operatic favourites.
If you're feeling the need to limber up before you set off then there will be an energetic warm-up session with personal trainer to the stars, Scott Wright who will be supported by the Sporting Dynamic Cheerleaders.St Ann's Hospice patron and Coronation Street Star Kate Anthony (Auntie Pam) will be leading the walkers.

Staff from Addleshaw Goddard getting in training with British Military Fitness for the Manchester Midnight Walk
Staff from Addleshaw Goddard in Manchester look set to smash the £100,000 fundraising mark when they host the city centre's first ever village-style Summer Fete in Barbirolli Square tomorrow (Friday 25th June) and take part in the Manchester Midnight Walk on 2 July.
Tomorrow workers, shoppers and visitors have a chance to escape the city for a couple of hours and try their hand at hooking a duck, spotting the ball or targeting victims in village stocks! It's all part of a number of attractions and sideshows that Addleshaw Goddard have set up as part of their charity partnership with St Ann's Hospice. Addleshaw Goddard have been supporting St Ann's Hospice for a number of years now and to reach £100,000 is fantastic!Visitors to the fete will also have a last chance tomorrow to sign up to join thousands who have registered already for the Manchester Midnight Walk. The deadline has been extended to squeeze in some last few requests! Registrations will also be open online until the end of Friday.

The fun will begin at 10pm at Manchester Central with a number of live performances. As midnight approaches walkers will be able to limber up with an energetic warm-up session from personal trainer to the stars (and former Corrie star himself) Scott Wright and then on the stroke of midnight thousands will take to the streets!
Throughout the night there will also be special guest appearances from local celebrities such as Key 103’s Chelsea Norris and Coronation Street's Kate Anthony who will be leading the 10k walk from Manchester Central and throughout the city centre.
Walkers this year are being encouraged to decorate their walking shoes in wild and wacky ways as part of the hospice’s Star Shoes campaign. Celebrities have been putting their creative talents into action decorating their own shoes including, Alesha Dixon, Tess Daly and Scott Mills. The celebrity’s one off designs will be on display at Manchester’s Triangle Shopping Centre in the build up to the walk (thanks John Lewis visual display team for your help!), so you can get some inspiration before designing your own perfect pumps!
